Starbucks® New Beverage & Food Items for June 2012

Starbucks Coffee Philippines launched two new refreshing and mouthwatering Asian Frappuccino® blended beverages last month. These are Hojicha Tea Jelly Frappuccino® blended beverage and Red Bean Green Tea Frappuccino® blended beverage. These new Frappuccino® blended beverages use high-quality ingredients sourced from different parts of Asia making this kind of an east and west fusion.

I already love the Green tea Frappuccino but with the addition of the Red Bean, it just tasted more delicious.  While the Hojicha Tea Jelly Frappuccino, tastes amazing as it sounds…earthy, nutty and velvety! It’s a drink that is totally relaxing, you’d think you lied down on the softest cushions and pillows.

HOJICHA TEA JELLY FRAPPUCCINO® BLENDED BEVERAGE
Starbucks Hojicha Tea Jelly Frappuccino® is an equally innovative beverage combining Hojicha, a type of Japanese roasted tea, with Starbucks own Tazo® Earl Grey tea-infused jelly to give this beverage a one-of-a-kind taste and mouth feel never achieved before. The nutty and toasty flavours of hojicha is flavorful yet refreshing due to the addition of the firm, bite-enticing earl grey jelly.

RED BEAN GREEN TEA FRAPPUCCINO® BLENDED BEVERAGE
Starbucks Red Bean Green Tea Frappuccino® is a blended beverage combining juicy whole kernels of red azuki beans and matcha, a finely-milled green tea which is the most superior form of green tea in Japan. The refreshing combination of green tea with the juicy plumpness of sweet-savoury azuki beans give this beverage a deliciously rich distinct flavour.

BACON AND CHEESE ON ITALIAN COUNTRY BREAD{₱150}

A sinfully delicious gooey grilled cheese sandwich coupled with six types of cheeses (Gruyere, Emmenthal, Provolone, Mozzarella, Feta and Cheddar) and crispy bacon strips. Subtly seasoned with creamy pesto sauce and Italian herbed butter on bread. The classic ultimate comfort food on a rainy day. Best served warm.

This is one of my new favorites at Starbucks along with the Green Tea Cheesecake below…

GREEN TEA AND BERRY CHEESECAKE {₱140}

An exciting contrast of the creamiest green tea cheesecake bursting with refreshing blueberries on a crispy walnut crust. Finished with white chocolate ganache curls. Chic and sophisticated!

BEEF AND MUSHROOM PIE {₱95}

A golden brown, crispy, flaky and buttery pastry crust filled with moist and tender beef strips, sliced mushrooms, carrots and creamy fresh mashed potatoes. One bite of this and you’ll be sold forever.

CHICKEN PARMIGIANA WRAP {₱ 150}

Juicy and tender chicken breast fillet, sliced eggplant, covered with Italian tomato sauce and grated cheese, wrapped in crispy chewy pita bread.

PURPLE YAM CAKE WITH MACAPUNO AND RED BEAN {₱ 110}

A marriage of two classic Filipino desserts with a unique twist. Three stacks of moist purple yam chiffon cake filled with soft macapuno strips and red bean. Covered with irresistible creamy purple yam buttercream icing and sugar sprinkles.

STARBUCKS® THREE REGION BLEND

Starbucks® Three Region Blend combines the finest beans from each of the planet’s three coffee-growing regions: Latin America, Africa/Arabia and Asia Pacific.

This sensational blend is all about the timing. We have to wait for the precise time of the year when the coffee from each of these regions reaches its peak flavor and freshness. Then, without letting one region’s flavor overpower another, we carefully blend them to create harmonious layers.

Now this deep, lush and lively offering is ready to be poured directly into your cup. You’ll be mesmerized by the balance between the floral, herbal, lemon and current notes. Let the amazing array of aromas and flavors take you away.

This is great both hot and iced
