Vermont Classic Frozen Custard, an Indulgent Treat from FIC

I’ve never met a frozen dessert that I didn’t like. Until now, I still wait for the ice cream man to pass by our house every afternoon together with my daughter and my two nieces. I love how their face light up at the sound of the ice cream tune.

Imagine how excited I am when friends from Fruits in Ice Cream sent over their latest indulgence: Vermont Classic Frozen Custard. I think I heard a chuck berry guitar playing in the background instead of the ice cream bell or the happy ice cream tune.

Frozen Custard is a frozen dessert very much similar to ice cream but is made with eggs in addition to cream and sugar. It has a thick, dense and creamy texture and is smoother than ice cream.

I was surprised to find out that aside from sending their three base flavors which are: French Vanilla, Cheesecake and Brownie Batter, FIC also sent along delicious assortment of toppings. I had maltesers, hazelnut wafer, crushed graham, blueberries, almonds and honey.

They also sent a recipe card for their recommended frozen custard concoction like..

Honey Almond ~ which is made up of Vermont Classic French Vanilla Frozen Custard, Slivered Almonds and a drizzle of honey.

Blueberry Cheesecake ~ which is made up of Vermont Classic Cheesecake Frozen Custard, Blueberries and Crushed Grahams

and

Hazelnut Malt ~ which is made up of Vermont Classic Brownie Batter Frozen Custard, Maltesers and Hazelnut Wafers

I also went ahead and created my own concoction. because I love Cheesecake, I created two from it. This one is made withVermont Classic Cheesecake Frozen Custard, Blueberries and Slivered Almonds.

And this one, which I call Hazelnut Malt Cheesecake is made with Vermont Classic Cheesecake Frozen Custard, Maltesers, Hazelnut Wafers and Crushed Grahams.

Rich, flavorful and sinfully delicious, FIC’s Vermont Classic Frozen Custard will definitely take your dessert experience to a whole new level.

  1. I’ll take the last one with the maltesers! It all looks good, but the last year looks great! 🙂

  2. I love FIC, but their ice creams are just so darn expensive! 😛 We only indulge in this expensive ice cream when I’m having a particularly bad day or when one of the kids feel like eating ice cream and we’re in John Hay, where its store is, good thing it’s usually cold here so that doesn’t happen often, hahaha 😀
