Kristina’s Wonderful Inutak

I often see this at the mall and often wondered what it is. I didn’t have a chance to stop and check it out since I’m always on the go or didn’t have the time . From afar, I’ve judged that it’s some kind of a Filipino Kakanin which I haven’t eaten before.

Yesterday, in search of something to bring home to my mother who often has no appetite and in constant need of some new food to try, I chanced upon Kristina’s Inutak kiosk in Megamall. Just right in front of El Pollo Loco, where sis treated us for dinner.

The staff was more than glad to let me have a free taste.

To tell you honestly, I have this whole secret love affair with glutinous rice. I could eat it in just about anything you can put it in. I love Ginataang Halo-Halo, Sapin-Sapin, Kutchinta {the one with the red top}, and Dezato Mochi balls.

And Inutak is just made of allĀ  the ingredients that could just make my heart beat faster. From the first bite, you could immediately tell that it’s made from coconut cream and glutinous rice.

This is what the baby would look like just in case Tibuk-Tibuk marries Sapin-Sapin…

Or what will happen just in case Akay-Akay forgets his mashed monggo beans….

My mother didn’t like it, as expected…but I did.
