Cravings at IL Terrazzo

I used to love mall hopping when I was younger. Now, sadly and admittedly, not so much.

Late wednesday afternoon found us in the vicinity of IL Terrazo in Tomas Morato. This is after we’ve been to Trinoma for some grocery shopping, lunch and Halloween candy hunting. I think it’s a little too early for Halloween. Malls are semi-dressed up for the occasion and there are costumes and party props available but not many. Most of the candies show up towards the middle of the month.

Hungry after the candy hunt, sis wanted to have dinner. Our feet led us to Cravings in the 2nd level of IL Terrazo, where The Real Thing Diner used to be.

Full dinner awaited as we learned that for an order of a main course, you get to have unlimited soup and salad. There was a Soup and Salad station where you can make your own salad, choose your soup, have  a variety of bread and butter and jam.

We ordered three main-courses. One for me, one for sis and one for Ykaie and Cyra to share. I started my meal with a bowl of Italian Tomato Soup, a creamy and pungent version. I put a couple of croutons and a few strands of crispy vermicelli for texture.

While Cyra and ykaie preferred to share a bowl of clear Beef Noodle Soup. I could tell they really enjoyed the soup because they asked for a second helping.

I would’ve liked a second helping of the salad as I loved Craving’s Thousand Island dressing but I was worried that I’m not gonna be able to eat the main course.

Sis’s Chicken Tandoori {₱355} was the first to be served. It’s grilled chicken skewers flavored with Chaat Masala and spices.

Cyvrine said she just wanted cake. We ordered a Chocolate Caramel Cake {₱120} for her but she ended up eating only a few bites and sharing Ykaie and Cyra’s meal.

This cake is rich and dense with a scrumptious caramel frosting….so sinful and yet so good.

Anyhting that could burn my tongue piques my curiosity. The hotter, the better. The Sizzling Chicken a la Pobre {₱335} caught my attention in the menu. It was roasted chicken smothered in buttery gravy and served with garlic rice in a sizzling plate.

Finally, for the 3 kids who test my patience every single day and make me look for the best creatine product , Sunday’s Best  Roast Chicken Dinner {₱380}. Half a spring chicken, roasted with garlic and lemon. It was enough to keep them happy for the night.
