Wonderful Way To Spend The Saturday with my Family: Perfect Italiano Mystery Summer Brunch

Perfect Italiano Mystery Summer Brunch

Perfect Italiano Mystery Summer Brunch

I’ve always loved a good mystery. And a mystery that involves food  just makes me giddy and a lot more excited that is why I always join whenever Perfect Italiano holds out a contest or giveaway for a mystery dinner or a mystery treat. The invite to join Perfect Italiano’s Mystery Summer Brunch came as a surprise and since I’ve always wanted to join, I fixed my schedule so I can go. What made me more excited is that they asked me to bring along three family members. I brought along peanutbutter, my hubby; my daughter, Purple and my cousin, Rome.

The meet-up place was in Katipunan area. The fact that I didn’t know where it would be held made me both curious and excited.

This is also the first time that peanutbutter  and Purple came with me to an event which makes this a lot more memorable. He works overseas and is only here in the country once a year for vacation. Usually, it’s just Purple and I who goes to these kinds of occasions.

Anyway, after the meet-up, we followed Perfect Italiano’s van which led us to the Mini- Forst Park inside Miriam College campus. Warm and friendly people from Perfect Italiano welcomed us from the small bridge and led us into a nice part of the park where there’s a glam set-up for the brunch.

It was sort of a glamorous country style-slash-family picnic kind of set-up with delicious cheesy food in a posh buffet table. The menu was composed of seven dishes was prepared by Chef Natalie.

She made use of the different kinds of cheeses by Perfect Italiano: Mozzarella, Parmesan, Romano and Pizza Plus, which is a combination of three kinds of cheeses.

Aside from ours, there were two more families at the table… The event was hosted by Ate Maya of Batibot.

The lavish cheesy spread at the buffet table is composed of:

  • French Toast Sandwich with Romano Cheese
  • Chorizo and Spinach Profiterole in which Pizza Plus was used
  • Shrimp Cocktail with Crab and Cheese Sauce in which Pizza Plus was also used
  • Chicken Pesto Sandwich with Romano Cheese

  • Mushroom Fritata with Mozzarella Cheese
  • Roasted Squash and Ricotta Cannolli  with Tomato Sauce in which Pizza Plus was used
  • Apple Crumble with Parmesan Cheese

The refreshments were Pink Lemonade and Non-Alcoholic Sangria.

Everything that was served tasted wonderful but my favorite was the Chorizo and Spinach Profiterole  because it wasn’t only cheesy, it’s also full of flavor. The three cheeses that make up the Perfect Italiano Pizza Plus namely, Mozzarella, Cheddar and Parmesan made this dish creamy and rich.

After our sumptuous meal, there were some games. First up was the Stack The Apples Game {played a la Minute -to-Win-it} by a father-and-child tandem… which we didn’t win. Second was the Pingpong Ball Relay played by a mom-and-child tandem, which sadly, we didn’t also win because I’m really not the sporty type.

But nobody went home without a prize. Each family took home a basket of Perfect Italiano cheeses and a Barbecue Grill!

Thank you so much for a wonderful Saturday brunch, Perfect Italiano! We had fun, the food was great and it was a refreshing summer experience! I’m sure I will have the time of my life creating new recipes with your delicious cheeses!
