Lemonade-Slash-Barbecue Party for New Year’s Eve 2015

Happy 2015 Everyone! I bet you had an awesome celebration with your family last New Year’s Eve. It was definitely one of my many nights to remember because this is our first New Year’s Eve celebration in our new home AND peanutbutter‘s first new year with us after four years. The past year has been filled with many blessings, challenges, surprises, and adjustments. I hope this year brings out many more.

Last Year, sis and I prepared a Movie Night Themed Party, in 2013, we had a Camping Party, in 2012, we had Finger Foods and White Sangria. This year, since we had a roof deck at home, we thought about having a Lemonade-slash-Barbecue Party!

Lemonade Party

We weren’t able to prepare much for this party because we thought about this one week before New Year’s Eve hence our small table. The space wasn’t enough for the food we prepared…heehee. Anyway, there’s a big dispenser of ice-cold Lemonade…………. because what’s a Lemonade party without Lemonade?

We had three kinds of syrups to flavor our Lemonade. There’s orange, grenadine, and….downy? LOL! It just looks like Downy but it really is Blueberry….

So far, here’s what the syrups look like when poured into a glass of Lemonade. The one with grenadine syrup looks like sunset while the one with blueberry syrup becomes tricolored as the middle part becomes green.

The one with orange syrup looks like sunshine in a jar — bright and cheerful!

The Adarne Family : Purple, Me, Jay-R (our cute doggie who wants to sip my lemonade), and peanutbutter♥

Yeah, notice the Tequila on the background? Someone’s been spiking his glass of Lemonade.

The kids: Ykaie, Cyra, and Cyrvrine over at the grill with grilled hotdogs…

And look who wants some ice on her drink…

This is what happens when you pour two kinds of syrup… Cute no?

My glass comes with three extra cherries….. something to munch on while sipping….

These Grilled Corn is smothered in Cilantro Butter, Feta Cheese, Crumbled Feta, Grated Parmesan, and Cayenne!

Sis made Bow-Tie Pasta Salad with grapes, broccoli, and walnuts

Roasted Veggies Wrapped in Bacon

Stawberry Jell-O with Whipped Cream and Cherries….. (yes, mayaman kami sa cherries nung NYE..LOL!)

We also had a plate of three kinds of Maki…..

….some Chips and Dip..

..And this Watermelon and Mango Salsa for the Grilled Pork Chops.

I made Ruby Cherry Cheesecake for dessert! This almost didn’t get eaten and was forgotten in the fridge. Good thing sis went down to get something, saw it and took it up just in time….

You have to have fish on the table come NYE because they say it brings good luck. So peanutbutter cooked this Steamed Lapu-Lapu with Soy-Ginger Sauce.

Guess who was in-charge of the grill?

The little kids: Hannah, Yashz, and Jarizz had trumphets while the big kids played with Sparklers…

Ykaie together with cousins Ehm, Chellie and Eio.

It was a Happy New Year indeed!

Happy 2015 Everyone! Cheers to more adventures, challenges, and blessings this year!
