Mango Sago

This Mango Sago is the perfect dessert to cool you down on a hot Summer day. It’s creamy and refreshing!

Mango Sago

There is nothing like sitting down comfortably in the living room, watching t.v., and  eating something cold. I think that’s what I like to do all day everyday from now on. I want a steady supply of  ice creams, snow cones, ice candy, ice pops, halo-halo, mais con hielo, and Mango Sago — just about anything cold I could think of.

Ah, Summer! How is all this heat possible? Thank God it’s been raining during the afternoon for two consecutive days now. At least, the temperature decreases even just a little. I was actually waiting for that short drizzle of May shower today but it didn’t happen.

So we just indulged in this cool, creamy, and chewy dessert — Mango Sago.

Mango Sago

Mango Sago is one of those straight forward dessert that’s very easy to do. If you think about it, it’s just like a Mango Smoothie with sago (tapioca) and mango cubes mixed in. This dessert is actually a popular Chinese dessert which usually has pomelo and coconut milk. For this Mango Sago version, though, I used evaporated milk to achieve my desired creaminess.

I am so ready for Summer to be over and wishing for the rainy season to come sooner…
