Baked Ziti
  • 400g lean ground beef
  • 1 white onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves , minced
  • 1 jar meatless sauce, I used Essential Everyday Mushroom Pasta Sauce
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 500g package Ziti pasta , cooked and drained
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  1. Preheat oven at 350ºF (176ºC)
  2. In a large skillet – heat oil and cook onions until translucent then add garlic and cook for one more minute.
  3. Add ground beef and cook till no longer pink ( drain excess fat).
  4. Stir in sauce, water, and oregano. Bring to a boil and simmer for a minute.
  5. Stir 1 cup of sauce into the “cooked” ziti pasta.
  6. Place ½ of the ziti into the Luminarch Smart Cuisine 250º.
  7. Top with 1½ cup of mozzarella cheese and ½ cup of Parmesan cheese
  8. Top with rest of sauce.
  9. Top with rest of pasta.
  10. Cover and bake for 15 minutes.
  11. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the rest of mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese.
  12. Cook till cheese is bubbly, about 5 minutes.
