There’s just something so comforting about waking up to a warm bowl of fried rice. And not just any fried rice—Longganisang Macau Fried Rice, baby! It’s the kind of dish that hits all the right notes: salty, a little sweet, savory, and oh-so-satisfying. Perfect for busy mornings, lazy weekends, or when you just want something extra special to start your day.
Let’s talk about the star of the dish— Chinese sausage or “Longganisang Macau”
It’s sweet, smoky, and packed with flavor. When sliced thin and sautéed, it turns slightly crispy around the edges and infuses the rice with its rich, aromatic oils. Add some garlic, day-old rice (para hindi mushy!), a splash of soy sauce, and maybe an egg or two, and you’ve got yourself a breakfast that feels like a warm hug.
Sometimes I throw in chopped green onions or bits of scrambled egg for color and texture, but honestly, it’s already a winner as is. It’s quick to whip up, kid-friendly, and makes use of leftovers, which is always a plus for busy moms like us.
Pair it with hot coffee or a cold glass of orange juice, and you’re all set.
Whether you’re packing it for baon, serving it family-style, or enjoying it solo in peace and quiet (sana all), this Longganisang Macau Fried Rice is definitely a keeper.
