I honestly don’t know when Wendy’s launched their premium salads—what I do know is that it’s been a while. Matagal-tagal na rin silang nasa menu, and I’ve had my eye on them for the longest time. I love salads, after all.
But you know how it is… you see something, you say “next time,” and then months (or years) pass.
Well, next time finally came yesterday.
Lately, I’ve been on a very intentional pa-healthy phase. I’m planning to have my blood chem early next year, and I’m hoping—really hoping—that I can get my health in better shape before then. That means more greens, more fiber, and less pretending that fries count as vegetables. Serious na talaga ako this time. Promise.

Day 1: Wendy’s Cobb Salad for Dinner
For dinner yesterday, I ordered the Cobb Salad, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised.
The salad came with:
- Crisp romaine lettuce
- Grilled chicken
- Fresh tomatoes
- Shredded cheese
- Eggs
- Corn
- Crisp bacon
- Thin, crispy fried onion rings
- Served with creamy ranch dressing
Everything was fresh, but can we talk about the onion rings for a second? Grabe. They were thin, super crispy, and so flavorful. I didn’t expect them to stand out in a salad, but they did. They added just the right crunch without overpowering everything else.
This salad felt hearty enough to be a full meal. Hindi siya yung salad na after 30 minutes, gutom ka na ulit. I finished it feeling satisfied but not heavy — which is exactly what I want for dinner these days.

Day 2: Apple Shrimp Salad (My New Favorite)
Today, I decided to try another one — because when you’re already on a roll, tuloy-tuloy na dapat.
I ordered the Apple Shrimp Salad, and wow. I think I found my new favorite.
This one has:
- Crisp romaine lettuce
- Fried shrimp drizzled with Cajun dressing
- Carrots
- Fresh apple slices
- Dried cranberries
- Caramelized walnuts
- Served with Honey Mustard dressing
The flavor combination was so good. Sweet, savory, tangy, and crunchy — all in one bowl. The apples and cranberries added freshness, while the shrimp gave it that satisfying bite. The honey mustard dressing tied everything together perfectly.
Plus, bonus points because the Wendy’s branch is so near me — isang tumbling lang. Ang layo kasi ng SaladStop, and sometimes convenience really matters when you’re trying to eat better.
Is It Worth the ₱299 Price Tag?
Let’s be real — ₱299 is not cheap for a salad. Especially when you’re used to associating salads with “light” meals.
But:
- The portions are generous
- The ingredients are fresh
- It actually keeps you full
- It feels like a proper meal, not just a side
So yes, medyo pricey — but for days when you want something quick, healthier, and satisfying, I’d say it’s worth it.
That said…
Dear Universe, please send a lot of work my way so I can keep choosing salads without guilt. 😅
Trying Wendy’s premium salads feels like a small but meaningful step in my pa-healthy journey. No extremes, no pressure — just choosing better options when I can. If this is what eating healthier looks like, then I’m actually excited to keep going.
One salad at a time.
