- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the garlic and onion until fragrant and the onion becomes translucent.
- Add the pork ribs and cook, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned.
- Add the tomato paste and oyster sauce. Mix well to coat the pork evenly.
- Season with ground black pepper and seasoning granules, if using. Pour in the Sprite and stir.
- Cover and simmer over low heat for about 40 minutes, or until the pork ribs are tender and the sauce has thickened slightly. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Season with patis according to taste.
- Turn off the heat and serve hot with steamed rice.
