₱2,500 Weekly Grocery List for a Family of 4

Every start of the year, parang sabay-sabay tumataas ang lahat — pamasahe, bilihin, kuryente… pero ang sweldo, ganun pa rin 😅

So when people ask me,
“Mommy Peach, kaya ba talagang mag-grocery for a week with ₱2,500?”

My answer is: Yes — kung may plano.

This ₱2,500 weekly grocery list is:

  • for a family of 4
  • pang-lutong bahay
  • realistic (hindi pang-diet, hindi pang-fiesta)
  • perfect for January–February when everyone is trying to reset expenses after the holidays

This also works really well if you already do weekly ulam planning — which honestly saves more money than any sale.

🛒 ₱2,500 Weekly Grocery List

Prices may vary slightly depending on wet market vs grocery, but this is a safe, realistic range.

🥩 Proteins (₱1,100–₱1,200)

  • Chicken (1 whole, cut-up) – ₱280
  • Pork kasim or liempo (½ kilo) – ₱260

  • Eggs (1 dozen) – ₱210
  • Canned sardines (2 cans) – ₱90
  • Canned tuna (2 cans) – ₱100

💡 Why this works:
These proteins can be stretched across multiple ulam — adobo, ginisa, torta, sabaw, and even quick lunch baon.

  • Garlic – ₱40
  • Bananas (lakatan or saba) – ₱120
  • Seasonal fruit (papaya or pineapple slice) – ₱80

💡 Tip:
Buy vegetables from the wet market — mas marami, mas sariwa, mas tipid.

How I Make ₱2,500 Work Every Week

Here’s what I personally do:

  • Plan ulam before grocery day
  • Buy ingredients that can be reused across dishes
  • Avoid buying drinks and snacks na pwede naman gawin sa bahay
  • Stick to the list (kahit mahirap 😅)

Meal planning is not about being strict — it’s about being intentional.

Hindi kailangan bongga ang grocery para maging masarap ang ulam.
What matters is:

  • may mainit na pagkain
  • may kanin
  • at sabay-sabay kayong kumakain

If this ₱2,500 list helps you breathe a little easier this week, then mission accomplished ✨
