peanutbutter♥ and I never really celebrated Valentine’s Day. This is one of those holidays where we rather stay at home than go out because it’s such a hassle to be anywhere else.
People seem to want to be in the same places at once. The cinemas are always full …………and the lines…. UGH!
Restaurants have way too much customers……
And then flowers… I don’t really care much about them. I admit, they are nice once in a while but I just think it’s a waste of money. I’d rather you give me something I could use in my daily life. Besides, their prices go sky high whenever the calendar says February 14.
I’d give anything to have kisses, snuggles, and l♥ve….tonight
So instead of going out, why not do something simple, creative and totally romantic in the comfort of your own home? Celebrate Valentines with a Movie Night.
Oh, I wish peanutbutter♥‘s here to spend this movie night with me…
My Top 8 Romantic Movie pick would probably be:
- Jerry Maguire
- Crazy, Stupid, Love
- The Notebook
- Sleepless in Seattle
- Pretty Woman
- While You were Sleeping
- Notting Hill
- Ghost
Unfortunately, but in a good way though, I have to spend this movie night with my daughter and our movies for tonight are:
- A Monster in Paris
- Hansel & Gretel

There has to be Popcorn with extra butter, Sugar or any candy of your choice, Take Out – this is a must, and something bubbly {sodas for the kids}.
I think I will have to forget about my diet for today, hee.

Of course there has to be Love Letters! It’s heart’s day…. I can never let this day pass without a love letter….
But let me try a different thing today. Instead of reciting How Do I love Thee, let me tell you the things/reasons why I love my husband.
What I do love About peanutbutter♥?
- Well, first of all, He buys me chocolate…LOL! lots of it. He doesn’t care whether I eat them all at once or daily until it runs out.
- Kidding aside, He encouraged me to follow my passion in spite of the income we’d temporarily lose in order to make it happen. And the great thing about it is… we didn’t lose income.
- I love him because He is a challenge. Seriously. He challenges everything and makes me think. He never take things as they are and is always always willing to dig deeper and reach farther and do more.
- And because of that He forces me to grow. He forces me to grow spiritually, personally and intellectually. He ignites the passion in me for both life and love.
- He has passion and drive. He is incredibly hard working for someone who always wants to sleep. I didn’t even know that could happen. He is such a family man that he is willing to do everything for us.
- He teaches me selflessness. That this marriage isn’t about me nor him — that it’s about US. That we are a team and we work together…. even if we are apart at the moment.
- I can always talk to him and laugh with him. At night we talk and laugh about events that happened during the day. You can’t just do that with anyone. There’s this one person you can tell everything and laugh about everything. For me — it’s him.
I am thankful, daily, that God picked him for me.
We’ve made it through the first year of honeymooning, the third year of new parenthood… We’ve yet to conquer the seven year itch or the seven year of tough finances and the ninth year of health struggles.. but together, I believe we’ll get through each and every stage.
peanutbutter♥,
I hope YOU are reading this… I love you more than words can ever say.
Happy Valentines Day!♥
