Last weekend, we accompanied Ykaie to the Superman Fan Event at SM Mall of Asia—and let me tell you, it turned into a little food trip too!
We got there around 3PM, and since the event (and the actors!) weren’t coming out until 7PM, we had plenty of time to walk around, chill, and, of course, eat. 😄
Our late lunch was at Bon BanhMi, and it really hit the spot. Daddydoodledoo had their House Special Pho, which was incredibly flavorful and comforting. It came with three kinds of meat — including meatballs and tender fatty brisket. It was the kind of meal that hugs you from the inside. I had the Fresh Spring Rolls—light, refreshing, and just the right amount of chewy.
After walking around for a bit more and checking out the crowd building up for the Superman event, we gave in to our sweet tooth and got Pinkberry Froyo. We did a mix of chocolate and original yogurt and loaded it up with toppings like popping boba, kiwi, cheesecake chunks, and mochi. It was a happy little cup of everything we love!
By dinner time, Ykaie joined us and grabbed some hotdogs from Nathan’s, and we all shared their Chili Cheese Fries, a classic comfort snack, especially while waiting in a long crowd.

Later in the evening, DaddyDoodleDoo and I snuck in a little coffee date at Starbucks. We had our usual drinks and shared their Carrotita Cake, which was moist, perfectly spiced, and just the right size to share. Coffee + cake = love language.

As for our real dinner, we explored something different. We shared some flavorful dishes from Tandoor — Chicken Tikka Masala and Fish Curry. We also had some Nachos. Everything was so flavorful and had that rich blend of spices. It was warm, hearty, and satisfying—just what we needed after all the excitement.
Before heading home, we couldn’t resist stopping by Founders Donuts and taking home a box. Because why not end the day with something soft, sweet, and perfectly glazed?
Oh and by the way, Ykaie was able to take a photo with Rachel Brosnahan who plays Lois Lane! She was so kilig!
It was a long day filled with superhero vibes, family bonding, and lots of delicious food. Definitely a memory worth keeping (and eating our way through)!
