Kung ang happiness may shape… sure ako, Sushi Box yun. 😜
Especially when that box is from Sushi Shokunin, one of the most talked-about sushi spots for premium, restaurant-quality sushi you can enjoy at home.

The other day, we were all craving sushi — not the quick, budget kind — but something fresh, premium, and beautifully curated. So we went all in and ordered their Imperial Box for ₱2,300, and let me tell you… it felt like opening a treasure chest filled with pure salmon-and-tuna happiness.

What’s Inside the Imperial Box?

The box is huge, generous, and perfect for sharing. It includes:

  • Hoso Salmon (8 pcs)
  • Hoso Tuna (8 pcs)
  • Spicy Salmon Roll (8 pcs)
  • Spicy Tuna Roll (8 pcs)
  • California Roll (8 pcs)
  • Salmon Nigiri (3 pcs)
  • Tuna Nigiri (3 pcs)
  • Torched Salmon (3 pcs)
  • Kani Nigiri (4 pcs)

For sashimi and maki lovers, this box is sobrang sulit. Everything looked fresh, well-cut, and neatly arranged — very IG-worthy. The pieces were soft, buttery, and had that clean taste that tells you the fish is high quality.

What We Loved About It

✔ The freshness

The salmon and tuna were melt-in-your-mouth good. No lansa, no weird aftertaste — just pure, clean flavor.

✔ The variety

I love sushi boxes that give you both rolls and nigiri. This one had the perfect mix: something spicy, something classic, something torched, something crunchy.

✔ Perfect for sharing

The 2,300 price tag makes sense when you see how many pieces you get. It’s good for small families or barkada sushi nights.

What We Paired It With

Of course, si Daddydoodledoo had to pair it with his current obsession: Lemon Dou Peach Lemon.
A refreshing, slightly sweet drink that surprisingly worked well with the sushi flavors.

And then there’s Ykaie — she bravely tried a piece (as usual!) but she still isn’t a fan of sushi because she doesn’t like the taste of nori. Someday… maybe. 😂

Twinkle, on the other hand… loved it! She ate almost all the california rolls… heehee

If you’re craving something premium for movie night, a small celebration, or simply a treat-yourself kind of day, the Imperial Box from Sushi Shokunin is worth it. Fresh, generous, beautifully prepared — and yes, it looks and tastes luxurious.

Next time, I might try their other boxes… or maybe get this one again because it really made our sushi cravings super happy.
