Olive Garden SM MOA

Last week, Ykaie had this big craving for pasta — and when that happens, you know we have to make it happen. Tamang-tama, I had to attend a Watsons event at SM Mall of Asia, so I decided to take the girls with me and squeeze in a little bonding time over lunch. Our choice? Olive Garden, of course!

We all love Fried Mozzarella (₱525), so that’s what we got to start. It came in triangle-shaped pieces and was served with their homemade marinara sauce. Super crispy on the outside, soft and cheesy inside — just how we like it!

One of the best things about Olive Garden is their Never-Ending Soup, Salad, and Breadsticks. It’s ₱495 if you order it solo, but it also comes free when you order any entree. Since Ykaie and I both planned on ordering pasta, we knew we’d get this — and we’d definitely be full even before our main dishes arrived. We also planned to share our pasta with Twinkle since the servings can be filling.

As expected, the breadsticks were soft, warm, and buttery — perfect for dipping into the soup. The famous house salad was fresh and delicious. I really love the tangy, slightly creamy dressing they use.

We got to try three kinds of soup:

  • Zuppa Toscana – Spicy Italian sausage, kale, and potatoes in a light broth. So comforting!
  • Minestrone – A healthy mix of veggies, beans, and pasta in a light tomato broth. This one’s for the veggie lovers.
  • Chicken and Gnocchi – My personal favorite! A creamy soup with roasted chicken, gnocchi (Italian dumplings), and spinach.

For our mains, I shared the Seafood Alfredo (₱795) with Twinkle. It’s fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and scallops. To be honest, the cream sauce was just okay — nothing too special, but still satisfying.

Olive garden | Lasagna Classico

Ykaie got the Lasagna Classico (₱750). It was delicious and flavorful with layers of pasta, parmesan, mozzarella, pecorino romano, and homemade meat sauce. The only downside? Medyo maliit yung serving — just enough for one person.

Looking back, we probably should’ve ordered a meat entree to balance all the pasta. Carb overload! 😂 But still, it was a lovely lunch. More than the food, I really enjoyed being able to spend time and bond with my daughters.
