Mister Kabab SM North

Mister Kabab SM North

Last Sunday was one of those days na dapat mabilis lang… but somehow ended up being a full-blown food trip (as usual!). 😂 We were at SM North because Daddydoodledoo needed new glasses. From a progressive lens, napag-isipan niyang magpagawa ng dalawang salamin: one for distance and one for reading — ginaya nya ako, char! 😜

After that quick errand, our tummies were grumbling, and there was no question where we’d eat
Mister Kabab na agad ang tinungo namin.

Ever since Twinkle fell in love with kebabs, garlic sauce, and anything shawarma-adjacent, Middle Eastern restaurants have become a staple in our food adventures. Hindi namin kasama si Ykaie that day because she had to catch up on her studies, so it was just a simple lunch date with our little foodie and my sister Anney (a.k.a. our resident kabab queen 😂).

Starters: Hommus + Pita Bread (₱325)

We started off with a classic — their Hommus, that smooth, creamy chickpea dip drizzled with olive oil and served with warm pita bread. It’s nutty, savory, with just the right hint of tang. Perfect pang-bite while waiting for our mains. Twinkle loves dipping her pita into the hommus, then smothering it in garlic sauce (of course!).

Special Chicken Chelo Kabab (₱280)

This used to be a “sharing plate” between me and Twinkle — the Special Chicken Chelo Kabab with two juicy skewers, buttered basmati rice, and grilled tomato on the side. But now, may sarili na siyang order! 😄

The Chicken Chelo Kabab (₱260) comes with one perfectly grilled chicken skewer — smoky, tender, and flavorful, served with fluffy basmati rice, a slice of grilled tomato, and that signature buttery dollop on top. Of course, Twinkle’s favorite part? The unli garlic sauce. She was happily drizzling it on everything, like a true fan.

Mixed Special Choice (₱305) for Anney

My sister Anney went for the Mixed Special Choice, which is great if you can’t decide between chicken or beef. It comes with one skewer of chicken and one of beef, both grilled to perfection, plus a generous serving of basmati rice. The beef is rich and slightly smoky, while the chicken is juicy and flavorful. Best of both worlds!

Beef Special Chelo Kabab (₱320) for Daddydoodledoo

Daddydoodledoo chose the Beef Special Chelo Kabab, which has two hearty beef skewers, grilled tomato, two pita breads, and a generous dollop of butter on top of the rice. The beef was tender and flavorful — not too greasy, but packed with that grilled umami taste. He enjoyed every bite while giving us updates on his new specs.

It wasn’t a fancy lunch. We weren’t celebrating anything major. But it turned into one of those comforting, belly-filling family meals that just makes you smile afterwards. There’s something about sharing grilled meats, dipping warm pita into creamy dips, and reaching for more garlic sauce while catching up with each other that just hits different.

And look at Twinkle — she’s so happy with her meal, especially since she’s the queen of garlic sauce now. 😂

Craving Middle Eastern food? Mister Kabab remains one of our go-to places. Affordable, consistent, and always satisfying.

Until our next spontaneous food stop!
