Finally, the Long-Awaited Kumare Reunion!
After what felt like 73643264 years, the OG Mommy Bloggers finally reunited — me, Mommy Pehpot, Mommy Levy, and Mommy Badet! 💛
Life as moms and content creators gets so busy that it’s almost impossible to align our schedules. But this week, the stars finally aligned — and our much-awaited “Kumare’s Day Out” finally happened!
From the moment we saw each other, it was pure energy. You know that feeling when you meet old friends and it’s like no time has passed at all? That was us — laughing, teasing, and chismis-ing right from the first “Hi!”. Wala na nga yatang Hi-Hi.
Goldilocks BGC: Where Comfort Meets Cravings
We met up at Goldilocks BGC, and it honestly felt like coming home. Goldilocks has always been part of every Pinoy’s life — from birthday cakes to comfort meals. But this time, we were there to enjoy a good meal, good laughs, and that much-needed kumare catch-up.
Of course, Goldilocks didn’t disappoint. Here’s what was on our table:
🍴 Fresh Lumpia – Crisp vegetables, soft wrapper, and that peanut-garlic sauce that hits the spot every single time. It tasted like something your favorite tita would lovingly make for Sunday lunch.
🍴 Pancit Palabok – Creamy, flavorful, and loaded with toppings — shrimp, chicharon bits, and boiled egg. Every bite was comfort in forkfuls. You could literally hear the collective “Mmm!” from all of us.
🍴 Pork BBQ – Juicy, smoky, and perfectly glazed. One stick wasn’t enough (okay fine, two for me 😋). It paired so well with the palabok that I may or may not have cleaned my plate.
🍴 Halo-Halo – The perfect ending to our meal! Layers of shaved ice, sweetened fruits, leche flan, and ube halaya — it’s like summer in a glass. We were chatting nonstop while mixing it all up — that signature halo-halo swirl that feels like childhood nostalgia in every spoonful.
Sweet Ending: Goldilocks Signature Chocolate Cake 🍫
Before heading home, Goldilocks surprised us with their Signature Chocolate Cake — and oh my goodness, it deserves its own love letter.
Rich, moist, and chocolatey without being overly sweet. The kind of cake that makes you close your eyes for a second because it’s just that good. I brought it home to share with the fam, and even Twinkle gave it a big thumbs up!
There’s something so special about moments like these — catching up with friends who’ve been part of your journey since the early blogging days. We’ve all grown as moms, writers, and women, but when we’re together, it still feels like the old times — just with a few more wrinkles, stories, and laughter lines. 😄
