You and me? We always talk about delicious things.

We always talk about inspiring things..

We talk about pretty things..

C’mon, pull up a chair,  we are going to talk about all of those things today.
JUAN CARLO the CATERER at the Weddings and Debuts 2012 Bridal Fair PressConAs you all know, weddings inspire me a lot. That is why I’m glad I was a part of the PressCon for Weddings and Debuts Bridal Fair 2012.

Weddings and Debuts Bridal Fair 2012 will be  held on February 17 -19 at the SM Megatrade Hall 1,2 & 3. This is an annual event organized by The Wedding Library together with a few sponsors, offering a bigger and better event every year.

The sponsors who share the same dreams and passion as the organizers are:

The jolly wedding gown specialist Edd Sy, who makes beautiful clothes and wedding gowns. Some of these gowns are even worn by tv personalities Marian Rivera, Angel Locsin and Valerie Concepcion in their teleseryes.

The pretty Charisse Tinio of Nice Print Photo, the Wedding Photographer of the Stars. I’ve got to hand it to them, they offer flexible and hands-on services like no other.

The Publicity Shy AMI Jeweler whose work of art speaks for themselves.

JUAN CARLO the CATERER at the Weddings and Debuts 2012 Bridal Fair PressConAnd of course, Juan Carlo the Caterer, known as the Caterer to the Stars headed by Mr. Alex Michael del Rosario.

Yes, we are going to talk about all the delicious food that came out of Mr. Del Rosario’s kitchen today.

But first, let me give you a short background. Juan Carlo is named after  Mr. Del Rosario’s only child and it started making a name in the food industry in 1995. He’s  catered the Ogie Alcasid-Regine Velasquez Wedding and the Kyla and Rich Alvarez Wedding. He is also a regular caterer of Sharon Cuneta.

You wanna know why? Because he cooks delicious food in large quantity………… and takes care of your guests for you like what you’d be doing if you’re not busy being the life of the party. Now that’s a great deal, right there.

Errr– I’m talking too much, aren’t I?

JUAN CARLO the CATERER at the Weddings and Debuts 2012 Bridal Fair PressConOkay, let me start off with the appetizer. I had Chicken Croquettes served still crispy with Tartar sauce. This is über tasty and I would’ve gotten a second serving if I wasn’t so full.

JUAN CARLO the CATERER at the Weddings and Debuts 2012 Bridal Fair PressConI also had two pieces of Mini-tacos with a few drops Tabasco. These are tacos all the way, I could taste all the taco seasoning inside.

JUAN CARLO the CATERER at the Weddings and Debuts 2012 Bridal Fair PressConThis is Pork Geneva Style — rustic-ly flavorful with the banana, bacon and cheese on top…

JUAN CARLO the CATERER at the Weddings and Debuts 2012 Bridal Fair PressConThe Goat Kalderetang Batangas topped my list. It didn’t have any added ingredients, just the goat meat stewed well in the sauce.

And it didn’t have that goat-smell either– that’s A plus plus plus!

Do you hear that peanutbutter? Yes! I love goat meat!

And I love tongue meat too!

Check out this Ox Tongue with Buttered Mushroom…

Okay, if you’ve been dropping by for quite sometime, I’m sure you know of my un-fondness for fish and my fondness for booze in my food. So if there’s a fish dish that I would like, this must be it……Salmon with Tequila Cream Sauce.

Chicken Masala – spices, flavor and the goodness of Cilantro.

I would have to give them an applause for the crunchy Steamed Vegetables. This is vegetable that is cooked exactly as they wanna be cooked.

My favorite dessert —Tropical Fruit Pavlova. Maybe it was because of the whole maraschino cherry on top…. or the grape… or the thinly sliced peaches…. or the merengue. Oh heck, I don’t know. It tasted like love.

I had to scrape the top of my Florentine Bites with my teeth because of all the good things in there. There’s cherry, raisins and cornflakes.

Sansrival with Pistachio Nuts

Fruit Jelly

This is my plate. I had all the good stuff going in there….

…and this is my dessert plate. I had one of each including that Pandan Panna Cotta which I don’t have a picture of up there.

All the shots I have are blurred. Maybe because I already want to snatch one when I was taking the photos…

I had a photo taken with celebrity endorsers Angelo Cacciatore and Maja Salvador, of course! Who would wanna miss that?

Never miss a recipe
