Emperor’s Feast at Modern Shanghai

Modern Shanghai

It was grocery day the other day and we were really hungry hungry after grocery shopping. Craving kami for Chinese food and sakto naman we passed by Modern Shanghai. Their ala-carte meal can be pretty pricey but they also offer this set meal that’s already good for 2-3 persons. It’s called the Emperor’s Feast and that’s what we ordered.

To start our meal, Daddydoodledoo and I ordered a cup of soup each. I got the Modern Shanghai Soup (₱128) made of fish fillet, chopped bok choy, and egg white. While the hubs got the Hot and Sour Soup (₱148) which is made of bamboo shoot, black fungus, shrimp, tofu, and shredded pork.

Emperor’s Feast is a six course meal. It is composed of 4 pcs Xiao Long Bao and Egg Fried Rice.

Vegetables were this really tasty String Beans and Sauteed Water Spinach with Minced Pork. I liked both these veggie dishes.

It also came with Deep Fried Pork on a bed of fried wonton wrapper. It was crispy an flavorful too.

I love the Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet – it has the right balance of sweet and sour and the fish fillet were not soggy.

This Emperor’s Feast costs ₱1,488 and it’s good for 2-3 persons. I think it’s already sulit for its price.
