Bakit ba ang sarap mag-food trip during gasoline station stopovers? Well, ang dami kasing makakainan in one place! On the way to 88 Hot Springs Resort Laguna, we stopped at Caltex SLEX Mamplasan for some snacks. And there we discovered Mr. Franks Hotdogs & Nachos Co.. Perfect timing because we were craving hotdog at that time.
What’s on the Menu?
The menu at Mr. Franks is simple but tempting. The star of the show is, of course, the hot dogs. They come in a variety of styles, from the classic all-beef frank to more adventurous options like the chili cheese dog and the bacon-wrapped dog. The nachos are also a must-try, with plenty of toppings to choose from, such as cheese, jalapenos, and salsa.
In addition to hot dogs and nachos, Mr. Franks also offers a selection of other dishes, such as fries, onion rings, and chicken sandwiches. There are also drinks available, so you can enjoy a complete meal.

What did we order?
As you can see from above, Twinkle ordered the Corndogs (₱195) which comes with four pieces of small corndogs with either sour cream or cheese sauce dips.
Daddydoodledoo ordered the Hawaii (₱275) which is their hotdog with bacon, coleslaw with raisins, white onion, cheese, and pineapple bits. It was really good! The coleslaw and pineapple was refreshing. Bagay din pala yun sa hotdog sandwich?
As for me, I got the Michigan (₱275). You can see this on the video above. It’s a Chili dog with lots of cheese! I love it because I love chili!
We also got a large Buttero (₱275) to share. It’s a super loaded nachos with chili con carne, mushrooms, bacon, sour cream, italian sausage, monterey jack cheese, and jalapeño.
Ykaie on the other hand, ordered from the katabing food truck. She had Beef Shawarma — also super delicious.
I do hope we go south once again and do a stopover here. We’ll sure try the other food trucks and share if it’s good as well.

It’s always exciting to discover new food spots during road trips, and Mr. Franks Hotdogs & Nachos Co. seems like a fantastic find! The variety of hot dogs with different toppings and the tempting nachos make it a snack haven!
