Lunch at Gringo

Gringo Wagyu Brisket Plate

It’s another Sunday FamDay! A week ago we were able to have lunch with Mama Lucy and Papa Sony at Gringo SM Fairview. It took us a few months before we can visit again because Daddydoodledoo returned to corporate at the start of the year. He started training and then came the night shifts. As a matter of fact, kaya nga lunch lang ang na-spend namin with them is because he just came from his Friday night shift at wala pa syang tulog.

Because we are a group of six, we decided to order the Champion Pack (₱1599). In includes:

  • 2x Quarter Baby Back Ribs
  • 8x Cerveza Wings
  • 1x Grinchos
  • 4x tacos (Spicy Chicken and Chili Con Carne)
  • 1x Large Side of Choice
  • 1x 1.5L Coke

I know you are wondering what Grinchos are. At first I thought it was nachos. It turned out to be crispy deep fried potatoes that are perfect appetizers.

Ykaie and I were craving for nachos so we had an extra order of Gringos Nachos (₱185). Just like what the name says, it’s nachos topped with special Garlic Zest sauce, Mexican Cheese Sauce, Chicken bits, freshly chopped tomatoes, onions, and parsley. Super yummy.

Both the Spicy Chicken and Chili Con Carne Tacos turned our really good too! It’s filled with all the works — I think ito pa nga lang busong ka na. For our large side of choice, we chose the Cuban Rice so we can have some tasty rice to partner with the ribs and the chicken.

The Smokehouse Back Ribs were so tender and flavorful and we love the lemon herb sauce that it came with. What I love most are the Cerveza Wings – it’s flavored with the malty goodness of beer and other spices then fried to a crisp. A bit sweet and smoky too!

Another extra order that we had is the Gringo Wagyu Brisket Plate (₱999), a plate of perfectly seasoned, tender Wagyu brisket slices, accompanied by sautéed French beans, shitake mushrooms, garlic confit, and crispy French fries.

Here’s our family picture — wrong angle yung kumuha ng picture..huhuhu.

Of course we had dessert after! Na-miss kaya namin ang Rita’s Ice — they just opened their 2nd branch here at SM Fairview. I had the Gelati in Chocolate Cherry.

It’s not our first time here at Gringo, I found another post! It was when we ate at the SM North Branch in 2016 — Then we also had dessert after heehee….

Hope you are having a great week!
