December always feels extra special in our family—sunod-sunod ang celebrations, and this time, it was Mamita’s birthday. Last December 14, we wanted a place that felt cozy, had good food, and could comfortably fit a big family.
After checking online and seeing how inviting the place looked, I suggested Piña Kitchen and Coffee. The interiors looked warm, the food looked promising, and it felt like the kind of restaurant perfect for a relaxed birthday lunch. Sis and Mamita both agreed, so that settled it.

First Impressions of Piña Kitchen and Coffee
Piña Kitchen and Coffee opens at 11:00 AM, but as usual with family gatherings, we arrived earlier than planned. 😅 We had to wait outside for a bit, but the staff were friendly and accommodating.
I mentioned that there were going to be more than 20 of us, and they immediately seated us in their private function room at the back. That alone made a big difference — it felt intimate, comfortable, and perfect for a family celebration where people are talking, laughing, and moving around.
What We Ordered at Piña Kitchen and Coffee
And yes… gutom na gutom kami, so we ordered a lot. 😄

Starters and Appetizers
Truffle Fries with Parmesan (₱295)
Crispy, fragrant, and generously dusted with parmesan. A crowd favorite and perfect for sharing.
Piña’s Potato Chips (₱195)
Thin, crunchy, and addictive. These disappeared from the table very quickly.
Quattro Formaggi (₱595)
Made with mozzarella, fontina, parmesan, and bleu cheese. Rich, cheesy, and indulgent — perfect for cheese lovers.
Vegetable and Seafood Dishes

Gising-Gising (₱350)
Water spinach and sigarilyas cooked with ground beef. Flavorful, comforting, and a nice balance to all the heavier dishes.

Seafood Platter (₱1,890)
This was one of the highlights. It included a whole fish, oysters, shrimp, fried squid, lemon-butter sauce, and pako salad. Fresh, generous, and great for sharing.
Meat Dishes
Crispy Pata Sisig (₱695)
This was the only dish I didn’t enjoy as much. It was too meaty for my taste and a bit dry. Still, others seemed to enjoy it.

Beef Belly Roast (₱1,190) ⭐
This was my favorite dish of the entire meal. The beef was tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Served with mashed potatoes and sautéed veggies, this one felt comforting and satisfying. Definitely a must-order.

Mixed Grilled Meat Platter (₱2,150)
A generous platter with savory tenderloin steak, baby back ribs, chicken thigh fillet, bone marrow, grilled veggies, spicy piña salsa, and red wine sauce. Perfect for big groups and meat lovers.

Rice Dishes (Because Filipino 😄)
Piña’s Signature Shrimp Fried Rice (₱590)
Flavorful, fragrant, and loaded with shrimp. Great pairing for the grilled meats.
Crab Rice (₱450)
Light but tasty, and a good alternative if you want something less heavy.

A Sweet Birthday Moment
Halfway through our meal, the staff surprised Mamita by singing Happy Birthday. They brought out a leche flan with a candle, topped with cute pineapple shades — a small but thoughtful gesture that made the celebration feel extra special.
Moments like these really matter, especially when celebrating someone you love.

Overall Experience at Piña Kitchen and Coffee
The place is a bit far, yes—but honestly, it’s worth the trip. The food is generous, the space is great for families and big groups, and the overall vibe is relaxed and welcoming.
This is the kind of restaurant where you can take your time, enjoy good food, and celebrate milestones without feeling rushed.
Piña Kitchen and Coffee is a great choice for family celebrations, birthdays, and group lunches. Not every dish will be a personal favorite — and that’s okay — but the overall experience, service, and standout dishes (hello, Beef Belly Roast!) make it a place I’d happily recommend.
Mamita enjoyed her birthday, we were all full, and that’s really what matters most.
Piña Kitchen and Coffee is located at Sapang Bato, Angeles City, Pampanga.
