We Tried the Kitto Break Series at Cha Tuk Chak (KitKat Lovers, This Is for You!)

Yesterday was one of those simple but happy days. No big plans, no bonggang gala—just me, Twinkle, and Daddydoodledoo out and about, looking for a little break in between errands. And of course, when you’re tired, slightly stressed, and craving something sweet, a chocolate drink just makes sense.

That’s how we ended up trying the Kitto Break Series at Cha Tuk Chak—and honestly, kung KitKat lover ka, mapapatingin ka talaga sa menu.

What Is the Kitto Break Series?

The Kitto Break Series is a limited-edition trio of chocolate-based drinks from Thai street café chain Cha Tuk Chak, created in collaboration with KITKAT®. The concept is all about taking a break—a sweet, indulgent pause from the day, whether you’re running errands, working, or just bonding with family.

What makes these drinks extra special is that they’re not just chocolate drinks. Each one has:

  • KitKat spread
  • Cheesecake elements
  • Crunchy KitKat bits

So yes… parang dessert na rin siya in a cup 😄

The Three Drinks We Tried

Since curious kaming lahat (and let’s be honest, mahirap pumili), we ended up checking out all three flavors.

Kitto Okinawa Break

This one immediately caught my attention because of the Okinawa twist. If you’re familiar with Okinawa milk tea or brown sugar drinks, you already know what to expect—deep, caramel-like sweetness with a comforting, almost nostalgic vibe.

The chocolate and KitKat elements balance out the richness, while the cheesecake component adds a creamy layer that makes every sip feel indulgent but not nakakaumay. This one feels very pang-adult palate, perfect if you like your drinks rich but not overly sweet.

Kitto Choco Strawberry Cheesecake

If you love dessert drinks, this is your girl.

Chocolate + strawberry + cheesecake is a classic combo, and this drink leans heavily into that dessert vibe. The strawberry adds a fruity brightness that cuts through the richness of the chocolate, while the cheesecake notes make it taste almost like you’re drinking a slice of cake.

This felt very pang-merienda, especially if you’re craving something sweet and comforting after a long day. Twinkle enjoyed this one a lot—probably because it tastes like a treat you’d happily order again.

Kitto Merry Berry Frappe

This one surprised me the most.

The Kitto Merry Berry Frappe has mixed berry flavors that give it a fruity, slightly tangy kick, balanced with chocolate and KitKat bits. Because it’s a frappe, it’s colder and more refreshing—perfect if you want something sweet but not too heavy.

I can imagine ordering this again on a hot day when you want dessert but also want something that feels presko.

Mommy Verdict: Is the Kitto Break Series Worth Trying?

For us, yes — especially if:

  • You love KitKat
  • You enjoy dessert-style drinks
  • You’re looking for a fun merienda spot with kids
  • You want something a little different from your usual milk tea or coffee order

What I liked most is that each drink had its own personality. Hindi sila pare-pareho ng lasa, so kahit tatlo, hindi nakakaumay.

A Sweet Break with the Family

What made this experience extra nice wasn’t just the drinks — it was the moment. Sitting down with Twinkle and Daddydoodledoo, sharing sips, comparing favorites, and just enjoying a quiet break together. These are the little food trips I really treasure — the kind that doesn’t need a special occasion.

Sometimes, a chocolate drink and good company are more than enough.

If you see the Kitto Break Series at Cha Tuk Chak, I’d say go for it — lalo na habang limited edition pa. Treat yourself, take a break, and enjoy the sweetness. 🍫💕
