Happy Lemon’s Green Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese

Green Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese {P90}

Milk Teas are the new froyo.

And I find myself rummaging through the milk tea shops to find “the one” or at least one to my liking…

Happy Lemon is one of the most popular milk tea place in the metro. I was glad when they opened a branch in Trinoma because it was near and I don’t have to go all the way to greenhills for a cup. But whenever I am in Trinoma, there’s always a long line of customers so I kept putting off trying it another time.
I had a chance to try it when I went out with my friends Rizza and DJ. We were having lunch at Yakimix  and while we were waiting for the restaurant to open, we had tea.

I had Green Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese. It was one of their bestsellers. Cold green tea topped with creamy cheese and salt with a little foam and a sprinkle of matcha on top. You have to drink it straight from the cup and not use straw to get the full flavor of the drink. The first thing that will hit your tongue is the sweet-salty taste of the cheese followed by the aromatic floral green tea.

To tell you the truth, I was expecting cold matcha green tea at the bottom but the floral one didn’t disappoint.

Rizza had milk tea with floaters and DJ had a fruit flavored one. I don’t know how satisfied they were with their drinks. Mine left me curious about the other variations.

  4. this is a bestseller of HL 🙂
     I am lucky to be in a neighborhood where 5 milk tea places are within reach and in close proximity with each other — ChaTime, TeaTap, Serenitea, BubbleTea, and Share Tea. I’ve them all, and I’m a self-confessed MT addict. HL is in Greenhills, still near but far from the 5.  If you liked this GT w/ rock salt&cheese, then you’ll love TeaTap’s GreenTea Mousse too!

  5. That’s very intriguing.almost had to try it, kaya lang jam packed nung pagpunta namin!  Now I know what to get when I visit them!
