Aside from our well-loved Sinigang at home, Tokyo Tokyo’s crunchy Tempura comes a close second as Ykaie’s favorite. When the craving hits, off we go to Tokyo Tokyo in SM North EDSA to satisfy our cravings. We couldn’t be too glad when a nearer branch opened at Victory Mall a couple of years ago. That made it easier for me to give in when my daughter makes lambing that she wants Tempura for lunch or dinner.
Sometimes I even use Tempura as incentive for her so she’d be diligent in doing her chores or sometimes a prize when we’re having a silly contest with her cousins. She couldn’t eat at Tokyo Tokyo without Tempura. Even if she’s having Beef Misono, she’d still have an extra order of Tempura. That’s why I’m really glad you can order it as an add-on.
To say that Ykaie loves Tempura can be an understatement… and I can understand why. It’s also my favorite at Tokyo Tokyo. And you know what, people around the world loves it so much that they celebrate National Tempura Day every January 7.
