Garlic Butter Bangus

We love anything garlic butter in this house! 🧄🧈 There’s Garlic Butter Shrimp, Buttered Chicken, and and of course, that rich and savory Mixed Seafood in Garlic Butter Sauce that’s always a crowd-pleaser.

So when I saw Garlic Butter Bangus trending on TikTok, I knew I had to try it.
One look and I could almost taste it — the crispy bangus, that golden garlic sauce, the buttery glaze hugging every bite. Yes, please.

And let me tell you… it didn’t disappoint.
This dish is so easy to make, yet so full of flavor. The sweet, citrusy, garlicky sauce is addictive. You’ll be spooning extra over your rice (don’t skip the rice — you’ll regret it).

This Garlic Butter Bangus recipe starts with crispy pan-fried bangus fillets seasoned simply with salt and pepper. The magic happens in the sauce — a flavorful mix of butter, lots of garlic, a splash of Sprite for sweetness, oyster sauce for depth, and fresh lemon juice to brighten everything up. Once the sauce is simmering, the bangus is added back into the pan to soak up all that buttery, garlicky goodness. It’s quick, easy, and incredibly satisfying — best served with a big scoop of steamed rice!

You can even add chili flakes or chopped siling labuyo if you’re craving a spicy kick. 🌶️

This dish takes less than 30 minutes to make, and it tastes like something you’d order at a restaurant. But it’s homemade, comforting, and 100% Pinoy.

Honestly, I’m not sure why it took me this long to try this viral recipe. But I’m really glad I finally did. And if you’re already a fan of Garlic Butter Shrimp or seafood in garlic butter sauce, this bangus version is a no-brainer. You’re going to LOVE it.

I wasn’t expecting it to be this good — crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and absolutely soaked in buttery garlic flavor with a hint of citrus. It’s so easy, so flavorful, and honestly, it might be my new go-to bangus recipe.
