If you loved my Iced Banana Bread Latte from yesterday, you’re going to fall in love with this one. Today, we’re making the star of that drink — the Homemade Banana Bread Syrup that makes it taste like a cozy hug in a cup.

🍌 Okay, So You’ve Been Asking…
I’ve been getting questions about how I made my Homemade Banana Bread Syrup for the Iced Banana Bread Latte I shared yesterday — so here it is, mars! 🤎
It’s simple, budget-friendly, and it makes your coffee taste like a slice of freshly baked banana bread — warm, cozy, and a little indulgent.
This syrup also keeps well in the fridge, so you can enjoy café-style coffee at home anytime. (Trust me, once you try it, you’ll start drizzling it on everything — pancakes, waffles, ice cream… even oatmeal!)
What Does It Taste Like?
Imagine your favorite banana bread: sweet ripe bananas, a hint of cinnamon, vanilla, and brown sugar — now imagine drinking that flavor. 😍
It’s not overly sweet, just enough to give your drink that nostalgic “freshly baked” flavor. The cinnamon and vanilla add warmth, while the mashed banana gives it that comforting homemade vibe we all love.
How to Use It
Here are some delicious ways to use your Homemade Banana Bread Syrup:
- In coffee or lattes — add 1–2 tablespoons for a sweet, cozy flavor.
- Over pancakes or waffles — perfect for weekend brunch!
- In milkshakes — blend with milk and ice cream for a banana bread milkshake.
- Over oatmeal or yogurt — an easy breakfast upgrade.
- For cocktails — mix with rum or bourbon for a warm dessert drink.
The Peach Kitchen Tip
If you want a stronger “banana bread” taste, add a tiny drop of butter flavor extract (available in baking stores). It gives that freshly baked loaf aroma without actual butter.
And for an extra treat? Sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on top of your drink. ✨
I love how something as simple as this syrup can turn an ordinary iced coffee into a café-worthy drink. Sometimes, all you need is one homemade touch to make your day feel extra special.
It’s also a great way to use up those last two ripe bananas sitting on the counter (you know, the ones too soft for snacks but perfect for syrup 😉).
If you try this recipe, let me know how you used it — did you drizzle it, mix it, or sip it with a movie marathon?
