Matcha {Green Tea} and Chocolate Marble Loaf

I haven’t said my formal goodbye to Summer yet. Even though we’ve been having a few rainy nights this week. The things is, it’s still scorching hot every time the clock strikes at 11am up until about 4pm.

It is so hot, I even tried having an ice bath. Yup, now I know how those vegetables I blanch must feel when I submerge them into iced water..hee.

But like I said, I feel the rainy season coming up because it’s been drizzling every night now right around 7 o’ clock and then it goes on until midnight, I think. It makes sleeping so much more pampering because it gets cold.

Okay. Now that I got that off my chest. Can we talk about Matcha and Chocolate?

I still have some leftover Matcha {Green Tea Powder} from my Green Tea Latte craze from a few months ago.

I thought of making this Matcha {Green Tea} and Chocolate Marble Loaf because I needed something to pair with my coffee. Plus it seems like a good idea because green tea is healthy…

And I’m trying to sneak in healthy things into my diet in the hope of balancing out the unhealthiness I’ve been chugging the past few months.

So today, I discovered that I lack marbling skills. Just look at the greens and the browns in my loaf. Does that look like a marble loaf to you?

yeah… well, at least the loaf turned out really good.

It’s not overly sweet and it’s buttery. Not oily-buttery but buttery-good. I just wished I added more Matcha Powder, so it’ll have that strong Matcha Green Tea flavor that should be overpowering everything in this loaf of cake.

Alright, I’m just babbling. It’s a crazy night and I’m sleepy.

P.S.

I think we’re seeing smoothie recipes in the near future. I just found out that one of my photo entry won me a Blender! yay!
