Lady’s Choice Advanced Noche Buena Video and Lady’s Choice Macaroni Salad

Lady's Choice Macaroni Salad

Christmas is all about family. It’s about togetherness. It’s putting up Christmas decorations together with all the members of your family, helping each other prepare food for Noche Buena, hearing the Mass, and then sharing all the delicious food which you all prepared at midnight. Our Noche Buena won’t be complete without Macaroni Salad. It’s everyone’s favorite and one of the easiest to prepare, delicious, and it can be prepared ahead of time.

To make Macaroni Salad I use elbow macaroni, carrots, celery, raisins, sweet ham, shredded chicken breast, pineapple tidbits, and of course, Lady’s Choice Mayonnaise to make it more tasty.

It was really nice of Lady’s Choice to send over this Advance Noche Buena package. Surely, Macaroni Salad won’t miss Noche Buena this year. At hindi na ako nakatiis diba? I made Macaroni Salad yesterday!

It was what I was snacking on when I watched this Lady’s Choice Advanced Noche Buena Video.

In this video you can feel how Lady’s choice advocates love and togetherness of the family. Lady’s Choice believes that it’s better when families come together, specially during the most special time of the year.  I’ve known it as a brand that advocates food prepared with love by moms with the help of the whole family thereby encouraging bonding and sharing of stories. This  magnifies the closeness and the love of each family member  with one another.

This year, Lady’s Choice gave three families a chance to spend Noche Buena together in advance since they will be apart during Christmas Eve. The three featured families were the De Velez Family, the Delfin Family, and the Valtiendas Family.

  • De Velez Family: the Seaman that Never Saw His Son on Christmas Day

The De Velez family shared how they’ve never spent Noche Buena together. For the past six years, the father, Zandro has been working as a chef onboard a cruise ship. His youngest son was still a baby when he started working away from home. So for more than half a decade, his wife Jennifer, and their two kids would always spend Christmas without Zandro.

  • Delfin Family: the Daughter Nurse to Leave Home for a Long Time

While in the Delfin household, they’ve reluctantly accepted that Christmas meant that they won’t be complete as a family. Leslie Mae, the oldest daughter, is an on-call nurse who was required to work regardless of the occasion. You know how nurses are. And more recently, Leslie, as her mom Sally shared, also just got a job offer outside of the country. So once more, the Delfin family will be apart this coming Christmas.

  • Valtiendas Family: the Husband Who Came Home to Miss Another Christmas

Finally, Emma Valtiendas narrated that for years, she and her husband Julio, who was based in Bahrain, were forced to spend Noche Buena away from each other. But when he returned home, he started working in the night shift which meant that he will miss Noche Buena with his wife and three daughters again.

But for this year, they were up for a big surprise. Lady’s Choice helped set up an advance Noche Buena for these families. The moms of the household, together with other family and friends, prepared a delicious feast for their loved ones by preparing their favorite dishes. Noche Buena staples like the Macaroni Salad were present in the feast. Their houses too were decorated with trimmings to make the spirit of Christmas complete.

It was very heart-warming to see the surprised look on Zandro, Leslie Mae, and Julio’s face when they came home and found out what their family and friends had prepared for them. Zandro was shocked by the surprise his family gave him. Finally, he got to spend Noche Buena with his son. Leslie Mae was speechless when she saw her family and relatives which came all the way from different places to surprise him. She can’t help but cry and even said that she doesn’t want to leave anymore.  Julio, who was expecting a surprise for someone else, felt very happy and excited by the surprise. After long years, these families finally get to spend their Noche Buena together.

I also cried while watching the video. I don’t know if I was just being emotional because I’m pregnant or if it’s because I can relate.  I know how it is to spend Christmas without one of the members of our family. peanutbutter (my husband) spent four years working in Dubai. He comes home only once a year and he makes it a point that it’s during Summer time because Ykaie is also on vacation. That way, we can spend more time together as a family. We missed him for four Noche Buenas and Christmases. But that’s not gonna happen again this year. peanutbutter is here to stay for good. It’s gonna be a Merry Christmas for our family this year just like with the De Velez Family, the Delfin Family and the Valtiendas Family

  1. This really made me teary-eyed. Because hubby works on night shifts too, we haven’t spent Christmas Eve with him for the past 5 years. My daughters are also usually gone on Christmas Eve because they have to spend it with their dad and his new family. So, it’s usually just me and my son together. This Christmas is gonna be different though. Hubby was finally given Christmas Eve off from work and the girls will be with us as well. For the first time in 5 years, we’re gonna be complete on Christmas Eve! 🙂

I’m just putting my faith in God’s hands that he wants us to spend this Christmas differently. 🙂
