It’s almost the middle of January and it’s around this time when you either think about the incoming Chinese Lunar New Year or the Season of Love…of course, Valentines. When I think about Valentines, I usually think about chocolates and flowers. Since I’m not much of a flower fan, I mostly think about chocolates. Not just the regular kind of chocolates but the finest ones that come inside a fancy box. Since I am a coffee lover (one who couldn’t enjoy her usual cup because I’m preggers), I always pair my coffee with something chocolatey.

If you’re like me, then I have a yummy news for you. There are two new decadent beverages at Starbucks that are inspired by candy confections found in the finest box of chocolates and they can only be perfected by Starbucks Baristas, the true espresso artists. These are called: Starbucks Espresso Confections.

RASPBERRY TRUFFLE MOCHA (Hot or Iced: Short – ₱ 140, Tall – ₱ 150, Grande ₱ 165, Venti– ₱ 175|Blended:Tall – ₱ 155, Grande – ₱ 165, Venti– ₱ 175)

Luscious raspberry flavor paired with Starbucks signature mocha, topped with raspberry whipped cream and drizzled with espresso truffle sauce.

CHESTNUT PRALINE LATTE (Hot or Iced: Short – ₱ 140, Tall – ₱ 150, Grande ₱ 165, Venti– ₱ 175|Blended:Tall – ₱ 155, Grande – ₱ 165, Venti– ₱ 175)

Starbucks signature espresso combined with the rich flavor of roasted chestnuts and freshly steamed milk, topped with whipped cream,  roasty chestnut flavor drizzle and crunchy praline bits.

Starbucks New Food Items for January 2015

Here are the new food items you can pair with your Starbucks Espresso Confections.

CAESAR SALAD (₱ 150) is my favorite salad at Starbucks back when I was still a barista. They removed it from the menu to make way for other salads but now it’s making comeback! I love love love their caesar dressing. Of course, it has chicken flakes, parmesan cheese and croutons.

GARDEN SALAD WITH MANGO VINAIGRETTE (₱ 150) is for those who wants something with a tropical twist. This salad is a blend of romaine and iceberg lettuce, Washington apples, cherry tomatoes, chopped red cabbage, sliced black olives, garbanzo and minced garlic with sweet mango vinaigrette.

Both salads are not available in Baguio, Boracay, Bacolod, Cebu, CDO, Davao, Iloilo, Naga, Gen San, Subic, Dagupan, Tarlac and Bataan.

CHEESE PIMIENTO AND BACON ON ITALIAN COUNTRY BREAD (₱ 165) – A blend of cream cheese, parmesan and mozzarella infused with smoked pimiento and topped with honey cured bacon on Italian country bread. Sounds very tempting, right?

MOROCCAN CHICKEN WRAP (₱ 165) – A whole wheat tortilla wrap filled with sliced chicken, chickpeas, tomatoes, egg plants and hummus spread. Something healthy and tasty!

CHICKEN AND MUSHROOM WELLINGTON (₱ 95) – A buttery flaky pastry crust filled with chicken breast fillet, sliced mushrooms and creamy cheese sauce.

CHOCOLATE BANANA CAKE (Slice: ₱ 120|Whole ₱ 1,000) – A moist and decadent banana cake finished with velvety milky chocolate icing. Yum!

RASPBERRY AND CREAM PARFAIT (₱ 120) – Vanilla cake cubes layered with creamy light cream, raspberry sauce topped with pistachio nuts in a cup. I love trifles so I know I’m gonna love this.

CHOCOLATE AND HAZELNUT PARFAIT (₱ 120) – Chocolate mousse, brownie and baked granola layers in a cup.

Featured Coffee

This season, Starbucks is featuring a collection of masterfully blended and roasted packaged coffees that are true illustrations of its passion for coffee.

  1. Customers who will purchase any of the featured beverages (Chestnut Praline Latte or Raspberry Truffle Mocha) from January 9 to 15, 2015 will be given a complimentary cardboard Starbucks Espresso Confections coaster.
  2. Complimentary coaster will be given to the customer at the time of redemption of the purchased beverage/s.
  3. There is no limit to the number of coasters the customer can redeem. (1) one Chestnut Praline Latte OR Raspberry Truffle Mocha= (1) one Espresso Confections Coaster
  4. Senior Citizen, Handicapped and VAT Exempt discounts are eligible for this offer.
  5. This promotion cannot be combined with other offers.
  6. Offer is only valid in all Starbucks stores in the Philippines.

  2. Customers who purchase any two (2) of our Chestnut Praline Latte and Raspberry Truffle Mocha of any size with a Starbucks Card will receive one (1) free slice of cake.
  3. Purchase of two (2) featured beverages and redemption of one (1) free slice of cake must be made in one (1) transaction.
  4. Redemption of a registration drink or beverage reward is not considered a purchase.
  5. The free slice of cake must be claimed on the same day of purchase and is limited to what is available at point of purchase. Park Avenue Cakes are not valid for redemption.

  1. I haven’t tried Starbucks salads yet. I am not even aware they had salads before. I think it’s a good thing that these are making a comeback. I love salads and if you love it, I need to take a trip on one of the SB stores near here. ♥

  3. I prefer drive-thru kasi that’s why I have no idea what’s new. Hehehe. But I tried the Chestnut Praline and I like it 🙂 Next time, hindi na ko mag-drive thru so I can choose from their new food items 🙂
