Errands to Coffee Date at Coffee Buddy

Coffee Buddy

Let’s be honest, mornings are a battle. Especially when your to-do list screams for your attention even before the first cup of coffee hits your system. Today was one of those mornings. I haven’t had that first sip that would jolt my system into place when I found out that Tita Eva had to be taken to the hospital for her weekly dialysis. I guess my cousin forgot to tell me that he wouldn’t be able to go and I would be the one to take her. It was already seven and she was already late for her schedule. So Daddydoodledoo and I took her there immediately.

So going home and wanting to have a good cup of coffee, we decided to try Coffee Buddy (vs. Starbucks). Lagi naman kasi namin tong nadadaanan. Now, Caloocan has its fair share of coffee shops, but there’s something about Coffee Buddy that drews me in. Maybe it’s the color theme — ang cute kasi ng color theme nila — yellow. To me, yellow would always equal sunshine and energy. Whatever it is, I found myself gravitating towards them.

We each had Viet Style Coffee (₱80) and Daddydoodledoo had a Bagel with Cream Cheese (₱90). The coffee was good. I wouldn’t mind having coffee here every now and then.

By the time we finished our coffees, the morning sun was casting a warm glow on the cafe. It was like signaling us it’s time to go home and face our usual routine of the day.

Until next time, happy caffeinating and even happier errand-running!
