Our Coffee Corner (& Espresso Machine Update)

It has been a stressful stretch of a year. One of the things that takes my stress away is having a cup of my favorite coffee in the morning — in silence — or as I watch the latest episode of whatever K-drama it is that I’m watching. So I made it as one of my #housegoals to create a small coffee corner (or home cafe) here at home.

WHY AN ESPRESSO MACHINE?

We could’ve easily purchased a Nespresso or a Dolce Gusto, you might be wondering why we purchased an espresso machine. As I have mentioned before, both peanutbutter and I are former baristas so we wanted something we could tinker with — kaka-miss kasi. Also, I think espresso machines produce stronger espresso shots and cheaper coffee. Coffee capsules per pieces costs more than per scoop of ground coffee. Plus, the espresso machine can already steam your milk.

Now the milk and syrups are separate gastos syempre. You would purchase the same regardless of the machine you choose.

WHY DID WE CHOOSE SONIFER ESPRESSO MACHINE?

At the time that I was looking for an espresso machine, I wanted something that didn’t cost a fortune and looks sleek. I got it at ₱4,700 versus other brands that costs more. I figured that if it didn’t work for me, then it would be alright. I can just “charge it to experience” …hahahaha.

Fortunately, it was all worth the price! It may be a little small for my liking pero I’m very happy with it.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE DRINK?

My favorite drink is Decaf Soy White Mocha. I use decaf because of hyperacidity. I have it almost everyday. peanutbutter♥ loves Cafe Mocha, Caramel Macchiatto, Hazelnut Latte, and White Mocha. Ykaiew always drinks the iced versions — Iced White Mocha, Iced Caramel Macchiatto.

We all love coffee. So you see, our coffee corner is something that used everyday — minsan twice a day pa. So it’s really worth having. Nakakawala rin ng stress to see it right there on our dining area.

I pray that I get lots of projects this year…

So nice ?
