I think Ykaie’s birthday celebration lasted for four days..LOL! On November 16, we went to Estrellas de Mendoza in San Juan Batangas because Ykaie wanted to go swimming. When we checked out the next day, which was the 17th, we headed to Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay to have a Hello Kitty-themed birthday lunch. What I had planned was an advance celebration of Ykaie’s birthday on a weekend.
Come November 19, Ykaie asked me if we could have lunch at Slappy Cakes. If you will remember, Ykaie had the time of her life cooking her own pancakes the first time we’ve been here. She wanted to have that experience again on her special day.
I think that’s what moms are for… showering our little darlings with memories…. experiences…love… and pancakes..heehee.
We tried the Chocolate Pancake Batter this time and then we had choco chips and diced mango for our fixin.
We had this salad,which I forgot the name of. Sorry…another one of my senior moments, attacking. All I remember is that it was served with the freshest romaines, some hard-boiled egg slices, dries cranberries, crisp bacon bits, cashew nuts, and feta cheese squares… maybe you can just ask the staff about it, should you decide to order this same salad.
We had Spaghetti Carbonara (for long life..LOL!). It was creamy and full of their crisp bacon bits.
And of course, Sis and I had an order each of their Buffalo Wings which we sooooo love!
Their Mozzarella stick is perfectly cooked but the marinara sauce that came with it is not enough for me. I love my mozzarella stick smothered in sauce…
With the help of Sis.. Ykaie doodled “I’M 6 TODAY” in pancakes….
Here she is having fun flipping her pancakes. Maybe I should buy a griddle so we can do this at home?
