Magnum Manila

Magnum Bar's Magnum Fondue

Magnum Manila

After eating at Hoy Panga! in Katipunan, we headed to SM Aura to have dessert. Yes, we planned our meals that day carefully. Lunch was tuna dishes to ease the guilt to we can splurge on ice cream and chocolates later..heehee.

We are not regular SM Aura goers because this is located 2-3 hours away from home given the traffic in Manila these days. Of course, there are days when you just have to give in to your itchy feet and travel for a few hours to satisfy your cravings. Besides, that’s where you can find the only Magnum Manila Pleasure Store in the Philippines.

A staff greeted and assisted us by the door and we were told that Create-Your-Own-Magnums are only for take out . If we would like to get a table we’d have to order something from the menu. I told them that we were just there for the dessert. Since there were seven of us (my MIL, FIL, SIL Ate Arlene, her son Bradzen and his nanny, peanutbutter, and Ykaie), we were informed that we would have to order two dessert items from the menu.

We had the Cookie Dough Skillet (₱250) which was warm chocolate chip cookie dough that’s super soft topped with two vanilla Magnum bars, dark chocolate, and chopped pecans.

Then we also ordered the Fondue for Two (₱350) which was composed of Vanilla and chocolate Magnum bars with a choice of milk, dark, or white belgian chocolate fondue. We chose Milk Chocolate, of course! It was served with fresh strawberries, bananas, grapes, lady fingers, marshmallows, butter cake, brownies, and brownie brittle.

It was also served with gold nuggets and pistachios which you can use to top your magnum bars after dipping in belgian chocolate. We ordered three extra Magnum bars (₱50) so each of us will have one. Then we shared the milk chocolate fondue and the chocolate chip cookies, fruits, and other dipping items.

Ykaie had to try the Create-Your-Own-Magnum.

She coated a vanilla Magnum bar with milk chocolate, topped it with chocolate crunch balls, crushed oreos, and honeycomb bits then drizzled it with white chocolate.

Look at peanutbutter, Ykaie, Mama Lucy, and Ate Arlene enjoying their Magnum bars. I couldn’t get enough of that belgian milk chocolate fondue…. if I wasn’t trying to avoid sweets like my OB advised me, you’d probably see me eating it with a spoon like soup!

Oh I’m definitely going back to try out the new desserts and to get more of the milk chocolate beligian fondue!

Magnum Manila Pleasure Store is located at 5/F Sky Park, SM Aura Premier McKinley Parkway corner 26th St., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig
