Oreo Truffles

Oreo Truffles

Because we’re friends and you always take a portion of your day to come and visit me here at The Peach Kitchen,

I’m letting you know this early that there’s a possibility this site is gonna be down for maintenance for a good 24-48 hours this week.

Yup, I think I’ve made some new friends over the week…

and I had to make room just in case they are planning to show up on my doorstep everyday…

……just like what you always do.

And I love you for that.

And because I love you, I made truffles.

Not the expensive kind, I don’t how to do that…………yet.

{Well, you’ll be the first to know if I do.}

I made oreo truffles……………………………………………………… and man, this is so good.

I couldn’t get enough of it, I lost count of how many I ate!

I know my hips will hate for it but it’s too damn delicious….so I didn’t care.

Anyway, since I won’t be blogging during the site maintenance, I’ll spend those times whipping up another batch of yummy goodies for you.

Just stay tuned. Site will probably down on wednesday Friday.

Oreo Truffles

  • Author: The Peach Kitchen

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pack Oreo cookies, that’s around 24 pieces
  • ¾ cup or ¾ of a pack of cream cheese {I used Philadelphia}
  • 1 cup White chocolate chips or candy melts
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • Chocolate chips, crushed oreos or sprinkles for decoration {optional}

Instructions

  1. Remove Oreo fillings. I think it’s too sweet if you include them in the truffles.
  2. Use a food processor to crush oreo cookies. I don’t have a food processor so I just imagined the face of somebody I’m not so fond of to crush Oreos manually.
  3. Stir in softened cream cheese with the crushed oreos. Use the back of a large spoon to help mash the two together.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1″ balls and place on a plate or a plastic container.
  5. Refrigerate for a few hours. I let mine sit in the fridge overnight.They will look like those yummy oreo balls below.
  6. Combine white chocolate chips and canola oil.
  7. Melt white chocolate chips using double broiler or microwave.
  8. Dip oreo balls into chocolate, tap off the excess, and set aside on a wax-paper-lined cookie sheet to dry.
  9. You can drizzle melted chocolate on top or sprinkle crushed cookies.
  10. Refrigerate for a couple of hours before serving.
