What We Did on New Year’s Day 2013

Let me start by saying we had an Icing Fight. Yes, there was no cake this time. We’ve been having cake fights the last couple of parties/get-togethers that sis made butter cream icing just so we could run after each other wiping colored icing on everyone’s face.

Ykaie is usually sport with these kind of stuff but she cried during the last one because she didn’t like the color…Tsk,tsk, it should’ve been pink.

Anyway, since we went all out for New year’s Eve, we prepared only a few dishes for New Year’s Day. We had Beef Tacos… lots of it.

Sis and I bought around 8 boxes of taco shells…..

We also had Pasta and Garlic Bread Sticks

I made Pizza Dip which everybody loved! It tasted like real pizza and it saves you the hassle of making dough..hee.

For dessert, we had Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes

And Sun-Ripened Mixed Dried Fruits

and a Kid-Friendly Sangria to down everything…

After eating, the kids got ready for some parlour games…

We had two Pabitins, one for the smaller kids and one for the bigger kids…

Jump Ykaie!  Jump!

We also had this Blow-the-flour-in-order-to-find-the-hidden-coins game. It’s obvious that I don’t know what this game is called..LOL! Whoever gets the 3 coins first using  her mouth wins the game.

heehee, look at Ykaie… she’s determined to win. Sadly, her ate Thea won this game.

Basagan ng Palayok came in last. The palayok/clay pot contained candies and money. The kids had a blast.

The celebration ended where this post started —– with the Icing Fight! Happy New year, indeed!
