I just have to tell you that I am officially addicted to fruit smoothies for breakfast.
I am having them for a few days now… buying one to three kinds of fruits and then prepping them into single servings packs in the freezer. So I can blend it every morning to have my perfect smoothie.
So I think you can expect a few smoothie recipes starting today.
Now that I’ve said it let me move on..
Today I woke up and thought about a fresh new look for The Peach Kitchen come 2014. Since we are trying to change our eating habits –meaning we are eating more healthy stuff — I also want something that would commemorate it.
And I think a blog make-over is IT.
The thing is, I designed this whole thing and I’m a bit scared to have it designed by somebody else so I am still thinking long and hard if I should go with it. I mean, I can try to do the blog make-over myself like before but this time I’m afraid everything might end up elsewhere..LOL!
So while I’m thinking, let me tell you what I did with this smoothie. I just mixed frozen kiwi, grapes and banana, plus some almond milk and chia seeds. Today I used Pacific Organic Almond Milk. Last time I used Blue Diamond Almond Breeze. Like what I said before, I am not really loyal to any brand and I am trying out the different brand in the market to see which one I like best.
The other day, I also tried mixing this with fresh orange juice instead of milk. It turned out a bit sour but since I like sour fruits and naturally sour drinks, I also loved it.
My colds haven’t gone away and it seems that medicines from two weeks didn’t work too.I am trying to just stick with a lot of fresh fruits, orange juices, and hot calamansi with honey to try and shock it with sourness. Crossing all my fingers for this to work.
- 1 frozen kiwi
- 1 cup frozen grapes
- 1 frozen banana, cut into pieces
- 1½ cup almond milk
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- Put everything in a blender and pulse until smooth.
- Enjoy!
ay! love it, girl!
Thanks, Kimmy!
Great, simple recipe. I like to soak my chia seeds in almond milk. Look forward to more of your recipes.

I have removed kiwi from all my smoothies mix, despite being really healthy….I’ve got allergies. 🙁 bummer!
awwwww…that’s sad. Sayang.
Where do you get to buy kiwi? I have not seen any in supermarkets lately. I want that fruit to be juiced as well!
I buy it in supermarkets lang, Rochkirstin.
You know my reason why I don’t do smoothies, haha… Too lazy to wash the utensils, lol!

I love smoothies, but I haven’t tried making one myself. I might do just that with your recipe here one of these days. Thanks for sharing!
you won’t regret making this smoothie tetcha!
Too bad I can’t seem to find kiwi here. =( I also suggest using cucumber! I tried it along with strawberry and Guyabano tastes great really and thick kaya busog lusog! =)
I will try your blend kapag nakakita ako ng Guyabano!
I wouldn’t have thought of using grape and kiwi together in a smoothie – fab. I wonder if you would be happy to add this to the kiwi collection under way over at Carole’s Chatter. Cheers
Hopping over there right now!
