Mad for Pizza in IL Terrazzo

Mad for Pizza

Mad for Pizza in IL Terrazzo

If there’s one thing that these two can eat over and over again it’s pizza.  They love pan pizzas, thin crust pizza, Pizza Kabobs, Blooming Pizza Bread, Pizza Dip — basically anything pizza you can think of.

We actually had pizza for dinner the night before we visited Mad for Pizza at Il Terrazzo in Tomas Morato. You’d think they’d be avoiding pizza the next day but no, they were both excited to “make their own pizzas“!. I guess nothing can get in the way between them and their pizza, huh? heehee…

Unlike other customize-your-own pizza restaurants, Mad for Pizza offers a variety of other items in their menu including salads, pasta, and rice meals to cater to their customer’s cravings.

Mad for Pizza in IL Terrazzo

Our meal started with their hearty House Salad (₱158) which comprises of crisp romaine lettuce, tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, and sweet mangoes. You may think this salad is simple but the bright dressing brings out all the flavors of these four ingredients to give you a perfect meal starter.

It was quickly followed by their Buffalo Wings (₱268). You’d be surprised at how big the servings of their Buffalo Wings is! It was half a kilo of tender, well-seasoned, wing goodness! Perfect for sharing by 5-6 persons. Now I know where to go when the cravings for buffalo wings strikes!

The serving at this restaurant is really quite hefty, the Spaghetti Bolognese (₱188) is no exception. This pasta dish is very easy to fall in love with, I mean, a mixture of sweet, tangy, meaty, and chunky — all the things you want topping your al dente spaghetti.

I am a sucker for beef belly — and I find this Amboy Angus Beef Belly in Adobo Sauce (₱218) topping the list of my favorites here at Mad for Pizza. The beef belly is melt-in-your-mouth tender, the fat makes it all the more juicy and satisfying, and in the adobo sauce I find something homey and familiar. And what better way to eat this than with flavored rice and buttered corn on the side! I promise you’ll be tempted to order extra rice…

I’m not so much a fan of ribs but I like the tender, saucy kind so this Tennessee Pork Spare Ribs (₱268) definitely hits the spot. It was also a hit with my darling daughter who’s turning out to be a carnivore.. if you know what I mean…

Let’s take a breather and have a drink before we continue. I’m saving the best for last, of course.

Okay. So far, I’ve already told you what I LVE about this place: the hefty servings (which I said many times), the affordability (it’s really sulit for it’s price), the quality of the food,  AND of course, the Amboy Angus Beef Belly in Adobo Sauce.

Another thing that I love about it is that they offer not only pizza but many other exciting items in the menu which caters to families, barkadas, or just group of people who happen to hang out. I mean, let’s be real, not everyone in a group of people, say a barkada, would want pizza at the same time.

The same can be said for drinks. They have sodas, shakes, iced tea, — and beer! They have drinks for everybody.

They have different kinds of beer and offer a fairly competitive price for it.

Cheers!

My daughter got the Salted Caramel Shake (₱98) which I think is a dessert drink but which she guzzled down while eating pizza, pasta, and ribs.Wait,  did you see the size of that glass it was served in? It’s HUGE!

I got the Frozen Iced Tea (₱88) which I think is how I’m gonna drink my iced tea from now on… and my peanutbutter got his Hoegaarden. See? they got everybody covered in this place…heehee.

peanutbutter♥ and Ykaie creating their pizza

Now, for the moment these two had been waiting for: their create-your-own pizza experience!

I was really impressed with this whole concept of customizing your own pizza here at Mad for Pizza. You can create your own pizza for only ₱280 and put as many kinds of toppinsg as you want and as much toppings as you want. You can even have a choice of dough and sauce!

For the dough, they have Classic Dough, Herb Dough, Garlic Parmesan, and Spinach Dough. For the sauce, they have House Pizza Sauce, Roasted Garlic Alfredo, Fra Diablo (Spicy Tomato Cream Sauce), and BBQ Sauce.

The toppings starts with different kinds of cheese: mozzarella (of course!), parmesan, romano, asiago, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bleu cheese, feta cheese, and provolone. And the rest of the toppings: green bell pepper, red bell pepper, onions, roasted garlic, sliced mushroom, spinach, zucchini, capers, olives, pineapple, artichokes, corn, over-roasted tomato, meatball crumble, italian sausage, grilled chicken, pepperoni, steak slices, parma ham, ham , bacon, calamari, shrimp, clams, mussels, fish, anchovy, basil, rosemary, oregano, and cilantro.

Whew!

You can go crazy with your toppings and experiment with flavor combinations you’ve never tried before. You can be quirky and it’s fun! For those who are not so adventurous with their toppings, they can can go with the ready-to-order pizza for ₱268.

peanutbutter created the “adult pizza” which consisted of garlic parmesan dough, roasted garlic alfredo sauce, itaian sausage, bacon, jalapeño, olives, mushroom, basil and mozzarella cheese.

It was creamy pizza that bites back when you bite into it! hahaha…

Ykaie “the carnivore” put everything she wanted in her pizza. She seemed to have created a meat lovers pizza with pineapple for dessert..LOL! She was very proud of it.

Her pizza had classic dough, house pizza sauce, pineapple, bacon, crumbled meatball, pepperoni, italian sausage, spinach, ham, and mozzarella cheese.

You wouldn’t think a kid made this pizza now, would you?

To cap off our meal was this Banoffee Cobbler (₱88).

Mad for Pizza has definitely got my attention. I love everything in this place: the food, the ambience, the staff — even the location! It’s near Rustan’s Supermarket, definitely a family stopover because you can do the groceries afterwards!

Mad For Pizza is located at 2/F Il Terrazzo Building – 305 Tomas Morato Ave. corner Scout Madriñan St. Quezon City, 1104

  1. We love “making our own” pizzas, but around here there aren’t many that let you do that unless you make it at home. The pizzeria around here will make us a Vodka Pizza that we really enjoy, especially when we are tired of “tomato sauce and cheese”.

I thought your daughter’s pizza looks fabulous! I would definitely try that one (although I’m not sure of the pineapple)

  2. mouthwatering photos! makes me crave for pizza right now.. uh oh. I’ll definitely check this out when I go to manila. The prices are surprisingly cheap.. i love following your blog.. always a new place to visit for me

  3. Making your own pizza is somewhat exciting. They also caters very palatable food to eat. The good thing is they are not only focus on pizza and they serve different dishes. Thanks!

  4. We have tried eating there once and came back really faster as expected. Their pizza is really good and the unlimited toppings is so catchy.

  5. I haven’t tried Mad for Pizza yet. Sayang, I should’ve just said this to my mother.. because we ate in other resto in Il Terrazzo two weeks ago..
