These Orange Rosemary Roasted Chicken Thighs are roasted in a flavorful citrus and herb marinade that turns into a wonderful glaze..
What I l♥ve about the Christmas season? It’s BUSY! There are tons of parties, relatives are coming home from abroad, there’s a lot of fetching from airports, lots of lunches, lots of dinners, lots of coffees. There’s lots of work, laundry, and food — makes it so hard to lose weight…*sniff*. There are a gazillion of birthdays (including mine)!
What I don’t like about it? It’s BUUUSSY! Schedule is hectic and you really have to plan around. I haven’t done my Christmas shopping! Traffic is horrendous. That 30 minute ride to the mall now takes 2 hours. There’s lots of work, laundry, and food — makes it so hard to lose weight…*sniff*.
I’m not a grinch, of course, and I am enjoying — basking, even — in the busiest, most wonderful time of the year.
We haven’t been home much and had been eating out a lot lately with family. When we are home though, we feel like there’s a mountain of chores all ready to attack us. So what we do is cook food which you can leave in the stove so we can multitask. This Orange Rosemary Roasted Chicken Thighs is one of those recipes which allow you to do some other things while cooking and yet give you something flavorsome to eat later.
I have done a version of this way back in 2009 (click: Orange Rosemary Roasted Chicken) but I like using chicken thighs now because the meat doesn’t become too dry even if you over cook it.
Orange and rosemary is still one of my favorite flavor combinations and it is so good with chicken!
It’s fifteen days to go until Christmas. I hope you’re at least half done with your Christmas shopping. We might be dropping by the mall today to finish ours.

I don’t think pwede ito sa microwave, mas pwede ito sa oven toaster. Ilagay mo lang sa small na lalagyan.
Yum, it looks so rustic and homey. I’ve never combined rosemary and oranges together but I want to so much now!
I love to cook like this one with chicken, pork or beef meats. Instead of oven-cooking, grilled chicken is the best for this recipe. Well, for different style of cooking, Also, I’ll try this with milkfish.
I love roasted chicken. I also love recipes that allow me to do other things while cooking. This recipe looks promising. I want to try it.

try it sometime.
I once tried this but with lemons. I think this version is tastier for kids because oranges are sweeter.
Oh my LArd! now am hungry! I too have done this with lemons but i agree that the kids might like oranges better, I hope to be able to try this recipe in the near future! thanks for sharing
I love this recipe! I used to eat an orange chicken meal in a fast food before until it’s gone in their menu.

Looks great! I used rosemary in chicken but haven’t tried incorporating ornage in it.
you better try it mommy rose!
Now this is something worth to try. I haven’t tried cooking any dish that involves using orange fruit. I hope it won’t be a mess on my end if ever I give it a try. It really looks delish!
Thanks Zwitsy. I do hope you give it a try.
This recipe looks amazing because of its easy way to oven-ccoked and the ctunchiness it gives. The lemon and rosemary adds the flavor altogether. Chicke is a versatile meat and it can give the flavor all along.
What a healthy alternative to fried chicken and it looks easy to cook. I haven’t tried this kind of marinade for cooking chicken. I think it’s a must try.
It is and you have got to try it.
We love the chicken with orange in one of the Chinese restaurant, your recipe sounds good
You have to try it!
I love rosemary! I remember my father using it to one of his chicken dish recipe, and it really is good! I better look for a rosemary plant so we could always have it around, and so we could try your recipe. ^_^
Rosemary does wonders to chicken!

I’m so glad you liked it
This was really, really delicious. I had leftovers and my partner asked that we finish it at the next meal which we did.
It’s also very easy and doesn’t require much time to prepare. I prepared the marinade the day before and marinated the chicken thighs the day after from 11 am to 5 pm. It was perfect!
I just couldn’t caramelized the oranges which were tasteful nonetheless.
What can I do to caramelize them?
Thank you very much for this yummy, beautiful and so original recipe.
