Hi friends! How are you holding up? I hope you are warm, dry, and safe in the comforts of your home in this terrible typhoon. It’s still Signal number 3 in Metro Manila. There are rains and winds. Hindi nga ako natulog because of the howling of the wind last night. Kayo ba?
I was supposed to have a check-up with a Gastroenterologist today to consult my acid reflux but, you know, typhoon Ulysses happened. So I guess I’ll have to re-schedule. This acid reflux is making me feel the most uncomfortable kaya I know I have to address this soon.
First up to remedy this is probably changing my diet to a super healthier one. I think a vegeratian diet is recommended for acid reflux pero hindi ko yata kaya… So I’ll try a semi-vegetarian one or pescatarian. Basta I will try! I don’t know how I will do that because we love dairy in this household pero I will try my very best.
Speaking of dairy — Ykaie made this Strawberry Milk a week ago. She loves Strawberry Milk kasi so she made a kind of leveled-up Strawberry Milk. I said leveled up because she used fresh strawberries which she cooked into a chunky strawberry sauce. She just added that to a glass of iced milk and Voila! A nutritious, delicious, and cute drink!
Ayan, ganyan na rin sya. Like mother, like daughter talaga yata… hihihi

- 1/2 cup strawberries, chopped into pieces
- 1–2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp water
- Milk ice
- mint leaves – garnish (optional)
- Combine strawberries, sugar, and water into a sauce pan. Bring into a boil and simmer until strawberries are soft. Mash it a little but leave a lot of strawberry chunks. Cool into room temperature.
- Pour 1/2 cup ice and milk in a glass and add 1-2 tbsp of the chunky strawberry sauce.
- Stir and enjoy!
