Hot Wings!

Can you believe peanutbutter is coming home in 23 days?

YES! 23 DAYS!!

Oh gosh. I am sooooooo excited!

And it sometimes put me into panic mode. Are the clothes in his closet clean?! Does he have a toothbrush?! No, wait, I have to buy him a new one. SIM card, he needs one. I want new curtains……

I even have a list of the food that he misses {which I’m planning to cook for him for the next 30 days that he’s home}….

Aaaand I’m checking out a few hot wings recipes for “2-bottles-of-beer-nights“…

I left out that bleu cheese dip, though, simply because….I didn’t have any bleu cheese.

It is most satisfying to test out recipes…. specially if you love what you’re testing. {I’m a chicken-person remember?}

Reminder to myself: I have to try another hot sauce brand…… and I really don’t like my father’s brand of choice when it comes to butter…

Oh, and did you know I started watching The Good Wife right from the very first episode…. I’m totally hooked.

Wings have always been my favorite chicken part specially that smallest part right there because that’s the part that gets the crispiest when you deep-fry it.

When I was a child, I love it because it was shaped like the number 7 {without the top part}. Go figure.

This is the easiest Hot Wings recipe. You should make it sometime…

Hot Wings!

  • Author: The Peach Kitchen

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 pcs chicken wings
  • 1 cup flour for dredging
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • oil for frying

♥for the sauce:

  • ¼ cup hot sauce
  • ¼ stick of butter
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar

for the dipping sauce:

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare dipping sauce ahead of time to give the ingredients a chance to marry each other’s flavor.
  2. Just combine sour cream, garlic, salt and pepper, mix well and leave in the fridge.
  3. Combine flour, salt and pepper and mix well. Set Aside.
  4. Wash chicken wings and dredge with seasoned flour until coated.
  5. Heat -oil in a wok/pan and fry chicken wings until golden brown.
  6. Combine hot sauce, butter and vinegar in a large bowl and mix well. You can increase or decrease the measurement of the hot sauce depending on the level of spiciness that you prefer.
  7. Coat each chicken wing with hot sauce mixture. You can brush it, put into a container and shake —just make sure you coat each one.
  8. Serve with steaming hot rice and celery sticks or carrot sticks on the side
